let's do a giveaway

Let's do a giveaway, what do you say? Want to? It has been a year since I started this blog. At first it was an idea for the etsy business Olliekate that I run with my friend Rebecca. But I strayed from just etsy stuff and it became a family blog, a sewing blog, a creative outlet and connection to the online world of other women just like myself who are trying to mother and lead their lives the best they know how. I have truly enjoyed posting here and exploring my life through these pages as well. I love the comments I receive and always check back with people who have taken the time to reach out through the blog world. So thank you for making me comfortable, for stopping by and saying hello. I am always inspired!
As a big thanks I want to do a year anniversary giveaway. Since I love fabric so very much, I thought it would be a great thing to share with you. And if you don't sew, well you may just be inspired to start with this great design. It is the birdseed fabric by Alexander Henry. Comes in these great colors, very vibrant and fun. I will be giving away a fat quarter (18"x22") of each color to the lucky winner.
Leave me a comment be sure your contact info is there too and I will randomly pick a winner. You can leave any kind of comment but I would love to hear about what you like to sew or what you would use these birdies for. We can inspire each other that way.
I will leave the giveaway open until Sunday night at 9:00 pm. August 9th, and announce the winner on Monday morning. Thanks for stopping by!

The giveaway is closed and I will announce the winner on Monday morning, thanks!!

These fabrics are beautiful, aren't they? As wasteful as it can be to fussy cut, I'd love to do a little quilt with the birds in the center of the blocks. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway!

These are my favorite prints by Alexander Henry! I love them! I'm in the middle of an orange and aqua spiderweb quilt...so the orange birdies would get to be part of that! The other two would become quilts too! :) Love your fabric taste! Thanks for the invite from our swappy group :)

Oh, I love those fabrics! I've been searching for all three together. =)

I would sew a baby quilt with those little birdies. A little mod, a little retro, and very sweet! Thanks for doing a giveaway!

If I won these fabrics, I would give them to a friend who ADORES them. I have the birds in pink myself, but she loves all of them and it would be great to win something and then pass it on.

Those are wonderful fabrics! One would certainly become a buttercup bag. The others will end up in a quilt. Thanks for the chance and the heads up in the swap group, and congrats on all the blog fun!

What a great giveaway! I love the fabric! I love to sew kids clothes, and my daughter is CRAZY about birds, so I'm sure it will be made into something for her. =) Thanks for the chance to win!

They are such fun fabrics. I'm thinking the teal one would make a fun fat quarter apron, and the yellow a very cute buttercup style purse. I'm sure I could come up with something to do with the pink. :-)
Thanks so much for your giveaway, and sharing your inspiration with us here.

I just recently started sewing, and I am completely in love with it. Yesterday I made some curtains for my bedroom, and now I can't stop going in there to look at them. I'm amazed at what's possible with sewing!

I've already made about a million things out of this bird fabric in my head! I'd love to make a tote bag with this to really showcase the birds. Also, since I want to try out my zipper foot, I think a zip pouch would be lovely. And some little bird coasters would look so cute! Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh, cute bird fabric! If I was to win these, I would have to hoard them for a while and then I would find something to do with them that would mean them staying in my possesion, so I could appreciate them every day. Maybe a little quilt but more likely I would use them to make a set of placemats or coasters or something functional. Thanks for the chance!

What would I use them for? What wouldn't I use them for! First thing would be a handbag, and then a small matching zippered purse. Then finally, the scraps would be added to the coin quilt scrap bag!
